I’m an experienced full-time marriage celebrant based in Melbourne. I work all over Melbourne at various wedding venues, beautiful parks or people’s homes. I love working in the Mornington Peninsula and the Yarra Valley areas.
I’m confident, happy and honest. I’m funny, relaxed and calm. I’m a great listener, and I’m easy to work with.

A little more about Annette James
- I am a wife, mother, friend and I love a great celebration.
- We live in the Bayside suburb of Patterson Lakes in Melbourne.
- I’ve been married to Steve forever, and we have three amazing children – Sarah, Rob and Katie. Our grandchildren are cute and funny and we love our time with them. And of course, no home is complete without a very funny dog – his name is Ralph.
- There’s nothing better than a good family Sunday when the kids and their partners come over. We share laughs, food, wine, walks and sometimes even a fun board game at the kitchen table.
- Our friends are also very big in my life. We catch up often, tell stories, share ideas and secrets, and of course, there’s food and wine involved.
- I am passionate, funny, friendly and loyal. I’m described as someone who loves life, who is goal driven and works hard to achieve all that I dream of. I’m witty, happy, see good in people and optimistic.
About Steve – the best button pusher in town!
Steve is my husband, my best friend and the greatest support a girl could ever ask for. I’m so lucky to have him by my side.
Steve is my audio guy. He comes to all my ‘Perfect Weddings’, and manages all sound and music for your ceremony. He downloads a playlist of music for your guests to enjoy before the wedding.
During the ceremony he is in charge of all the music. When your ceremony ends, he plays your songs again, so that you guests get the chance to hear them again whilst they’re congratulating you.
He keeps me calm, so that I can focus on you. Steve makes sure everything runs smoothly so that I can just look after the two of you – making sure you are calm, happy and ready to love every minute of your wedding ceremony.
